This is the continuation of the article that talks about the basic instructions on how to drive a fast car in manual transmission. We have already established that it would be so much better if you could drive a car in automatic transmission as well as drive a car in manual transmission.
In the first part of the article, we have talked about the first step that you would have to take when you are planning to educate yourself on how to drive a car in manual transmission, and that is to familiarize yourself with the differences and workings of a car in manual transmission compared to the workings of a car in automatic transmission. We have also mentioned the first few steps in driving a car in manual transmission, and that is to position the stick properly and to start the car. Now we will continue on with our instructions.
After you have positioned the stick into neutral and have started the car, the next thing that you would have to do is to position the stick into the first shift while you are holding the clutch pedal down. Then you would have to step on the foot brake because you are about to release the hand break. Take a deep breath and then release the foot brake when you are ready to start moving.
At this point, you would have to release the clutch. Make sure to do it slowly, and then you could combine it with the stepping on the gas, slowly, as you release the clutch. The car will move forward. After this, you could push the car up to the fastest that it could go on the first gears. Then you would have to go faster, which would mean that you would have to change gears and put the car into the second gear. To do this, you would have to release the gas pedal and press on the clutch instead, and then you are ready to position the stick into the second gear. After you have done this, you could now release the clutch and at the same time step on the gas pedal.
You could repeat this process of changing gears until you have reached a particular speed limit or if you want to go faster. If you want to go slower, it means that you would have to change gears again. To do this, you would have to release the gas pedal. You would also have to step on the clutch and then position the shift into the next lower gear, if you are on the third, move to the second. Remember that you could only lower gears one at a time then you could release the clutch slowly and step on the brake.
You can stop the car by going into the second gear and stepping on the brakes, and be sure to step on the clutch just before the car stops and never downshift into the first.
Now you are ready to drive a fast car in manual transmission.
